Our tuition refund program is one of our most popular MERIT incentives. All employees who participate in the Hour Bank Benefit Plan can apply for a full refund of tuition fees upon successful completion of their apprenticeship training and a return to their MERIT company. (Please note the tuition refund does not include association fees, books, journeyman upgrading or challenging apprenticeship exams.)
Many contractors offer to pay those tuition fees and then receive the refund themselves. It’s a great way to motivate your employees, improve their abilities and reward loyalty.
At MERIT, the benefits are built in for the next generation, too. Not only do we support your employees’ education through our tuition refund program, but we also offer post-secondary scholarships to the children of MERIT member employees!
The MERIT Contractors Association Scholarship is awarded to qualifying high school students who are residents of Manitoba, enrolling in a construction related post-secondary program and who is a member of, or has a parent who is a member of the Merit Contractors Association of Manitoba.
